Kids and Stress
Listen
Supporting our kids through the COVID-19 pandemic has been a huge challenge. From changes to their daily schedules to remote learning to missing friends, life-as-they-knew-it has been turned upside down. Dr. Abigail Gewirtz provides a roadmap for parents wondering how to best help their children through this and other stressful times. She offers tools to address tough conversations with kids from ages 3 to 18 and coaches parents through the hard conversations about violence and bullying, climate and environmental stressors, relentless tech and media exposure, economic inequality, and political polarization and equips them with newfound confidence to help children stay resilient - even when the world feels like a scary place. Dr. Gewirtz has consulted for and presented to national and international organizations, including the US Congress and UNICEF, on parenting.
