Anti-Male Bias
Thanks to the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements, the field of "masculinities studies" has gained newfound exposure. Dr. Paul Nathanson, religious studies researcher at McGill University, uses an extensive appendix of anti-male bias in film, television, and even greeting cards to show that in the past ten years, the pendulum has swung too far - arguing that we now live in an atmosphere that discriminates against men. Dr. Nathanson emphasizes a need to understand a profound problem that our society must face: the increasing inability of boys and men to create a healthy collective identity.
