After Wayne Scott’s wife, Eva, learns he is struggling with his identity within the context of their monogamous marriage, they make the difficult decision to separate. With three young children, a mortgage, and the threat of divorce looming large, the two take a leap of faith and begin attending couples therapy with a professional that will forever change each of their lives. It is in that very therapist’s office that the seeds for a beautiful, renewed phase of their relationship are sown as they seek to find a “common story” and, to their surprise, fall in love all over again.
