Eye Health
Listen
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way that we think about our health but many of us don’t take into consideration how to keep our eyes safe during this time. Dr. Daniel Laroche offers a range of common-sense precautions that can significantly reduce one’s risk of infection and discusses how telehealth is helping his patients. He notes there is another critical issue that COVID-19 has brought to the forefront — the issue of health care disparities among Black and Brown people. Dr. Laroche says there are several things that can be done to not only address but to help combat this issue. He received his medical doctorate with honors in research from Weil Cornell University Medical College and completed his glaucoma fellowship at New York Eye and Ear.
