Therapeutic Writing
Listen
Kathryn interviews actress and award-winning filmmaker Diane Sherry Case MFA, author of “Write for Recovery: Exercises for Heart, Mind and Spirit”. When Case started teaching teenagers in prisons, she encouraged her students to use creative writing. Through journaling, she discovered that many of the inmates—all triple felons—were victims of abuse. Case unlocked a healing creativity in them and is now using that power to inspire others.
