Kathryn interviews psychiatrist Edward M. Hallowell MD, author of “Because I Come From a Crazy Family: The Making of a Psychiatrist”. Hallowell's childhood was surrounded by dysfunction, a manic-depressive father, alcoholic mother and an abusive step-father. Hallowell’s memoir is a paean to the mentally ill and those who love them. He's featured on Oprah, CNN, NPR, 60 minutes, and in US News and World Report, the NYTimes, Washington Post and the Harvard Business Review.
